Sleepy head...

Just look at this little woman...Aideen was
at Ellas today and Daisy missed her big sis SO much ! She ran herself ragged...fell asleep on the couch while eating a roll :0) A candle lit tonight for Elaine and Pat and the kids, glad to be together again after Elaines recent stay in hospital (love to you all)...and some images from my little "office" where I am busy working, putting together craft/therapy projects for a friend to use...the broken doll made into a "new" doll is my fav at the moment ! Such happy work , playing...suits me to a tea !

I`m FREE

I HAD to choose "I`m Free" ! as my post title...just LOOK at the fun on Daisy`s face in the photo as Sean swings her upside-down in the garden today !!!! And oh what excitement , Maeve and Ella called , there were tears shed, as Aideen and Ella havent seen each other in over two weeks (the Ffrench family have been in Lucca, Italy)...Daisy ran around shouting "Ella, Ella"...and Aideen told Ella all about her new HS friends Sadhbh and Caoimhe who we are dying to get together , these 4 girls really will get on great they are SO alike....also some of the last of the summer flowers left in the garden...the time has really flown has`nt it ? Lunasasgh will soon be upon us ! Also pictured , Aideens latest "fashion" buy, a pair of funky red shoes a bargain at €3 in Dunnes, well spotted Aideen ! I HAVE missed blogging these past few days, but apart from all the work , we also had a spot of bother as I had another bad seizure last week and (dont laugh, ok do it IS funny) I feel INTO the dishwasher while having a seizure...only me I KNOW :0) I am black and blue all over , but the dishwasher came off the worst :0)

Today also was a day of thinking for us all ,as Sean has had his vasetomy (Yesterday) so it IS kinda sad knowing we can`t have any more children...BUT I do believe we will adopt or foster at some stage , I just cant imagine our home without babies ....

Mandy Moore who ???

Lilac (NOT PURPLE...Nora and Karen will get the joke), nails by Sadhbh, this pic does NOT do them justice, this kid is only 10 and I have lilac nails with perfectly shaped whilte tips and glitter...so "me" Sadhbh, you got them just right, thankyou :)

as you can tell my Daisy is NOT camera shy unlike her Mom...she lay herself back on Noras bed and said "cheese" as soon as she spotted the camera !!!!

Okay, I`m NOT vain here but Nora threatened to kill me if I didnt publish the pics she took after she did the makeover !!!!! APPARENTLY I look like Mandy Moore a singer/film star ??? What dya think ???

A day at the spa

Okay well not a spa in the strictest sense, but as good as :0) Nora fed me )I am now full for a week) then Sadhbh, Caoimhe and Nora got out the make up...heres the results, even my poor Daisy did`nt know who I was !!!!! Also pics of Daisy with her "boy" Kieran, and some bits n bobs I COULDnt resist taking pics of in Noras house...fabulous, fabulous day...thanks SO much you guys !!!! PS: for more great pics of the sound of music check out our other blog "Scoil Dai" :)

Busy bees

After 2 years...I am back to "work" part-time !!! Boy am I glad my office is at home, I couldnt leave now if I tried !!! I know when the kids grow up etc I will probably travel again to the USA with my poetry/writing...but for now its my little "closet"...it WAS strange sitting down to write for 2 hours, and I did have little interuptions (Daisy), but she did make me smile bless her ,and Sean kept bringing me tea I think it will take a while for the routine to begin again...Aideen is the only one who doesnt come into the office but she IS so like me , she needs to be alone when drawing, etc too...and I will need alone time now that I have 3 books to get out...busy , busy busy times. And speaking of busy I`m very glad that I can post some pics of the bees at work in our garden today (notice they are only on the yellow flowers), its sad to think that the wild bee population is so low, but by keeping the wildflowers (weeds) alive we are managing to keep some coming into the garden...up pollination :)

Yippee ! My letter arrived today :0) Okay, I`ve not completely lost it, I`m taking part in a "knit a poem" project...can`t believe i was picked !!!! We are not being told what poem it is...but I got the capital letter "R" ... I have to knit the letter in a dark colour and the background in a light colour...I`ll keep you posted...I`m doing it as part of my poetry therapy course...cant wait to show daisy Lila and the gang, we may even quilt or knit our own poem in future ! I`m no sure of the details as yet but this poem is to be exhibited in England...

also a picture of my sweetheart, ever the computer nerd, bless his heart ...its ok Seany I still love ya ! And a candle lighting on my angel altar for P who is flying back from the US tonight...safe journey P !!!!

Aideen went missing this evening at bedtime...imagine...and where did I find her ??? In the Homeschool room drawing pictures of wonderful viking boats at sea and fantasty dragons....I am tired telling this kid to write her stories down, shes the next Beatrix Potter I`m convinced of it...althought I`d LOVE to surprise her at Christmas with a dictaphone (you know those little tiny tape recorder thingys...) well, knity (oops freudian slip) I meant nighty night dear friends and loved ones ...

fun and rainy days

Today the rain insisted on , well raining, but that didnt stop us having some fun...ok we should have been doing more saturday chores but....Aideen was DELIGHTED to "chat" via facebook with her penpal in the USA...hiya Renee !!!! I was chatting with Renees mom, Jennifer and as the 2 girls happened to be in both kitchens we said we`d let them chat...even Oscar got excited and had to "look" at the computer to see what the girls were chatting about ! (Hope you guys had a nice day at your nans house and EB hope your poor stomach is better honey)...

Also Daisy spent the day looking for "things to do", and she found them...she was at one stage "nippin" (knitting) with me...thats fun I can tell ya...and then she decided that her big sister would only make a great horse !!! Daisy when you grow a bit older I hope you realise what a special and wonderful big sister you really do have ! At the moment i`m trying out my hand at some nifty knits (small) heres a change purse, an egg cosy and a corsage...any comments welcome :) ..."I`m singing in the rain, la la la la la la..."

Happy days...simplicity

Now, today got off to a great start as Sean handed me a banana, starwberry , orange and natural yogurt smoothie for breakfast...YUM :P

The we had Nora, Sadhbh and Caoimhe over for the first day of our combined homeschool project...the Vikings, as you can tell from the pics, I never really lost the school teacher in me, I DO miss teaching, but am SO lucky and SO blessed to be able to homeschool...Nora and Sean were like the naughty kids at the back of the class laughing, etc and it was only when Sean showed me the pics I realised why...I get SO animated when teaching...I LOVE it...and Sadhbh made my day by telling me I was the best teacher she ever had ! Fun was had by all ,and we got a great start on the project...Daisy "helped " Aideen clean and feed the hamster (Henrietta) this morning and she loved it , she ,like her big sister adores animals , and was "kissing" the ball the hamster was in !!! And so ,to bed...a goodnight story (The cat in the hat)...sweet dreams everyone !

DEE this one is for you :)

Would ya look at this Dee ??? They knew I was planning a visit to your shop and what with my sense of direction being So bad the council put up a special signpost just for me :) Honest to goodness, this IS really in Maynooth just outside the new Tesco`s...only in Ireland would you get a place named "Shopping" !!!

My mistake

opps sorry folks, managed to put 2 pics of Daisy on last post...OMG can you even IMAGINE 2 Daisies ????? AHHH, run for your life (sanity)...don`t worry Daisy we love ya xx

Once a month

hey girlys, what happens once a month ??? Ah no , (sorry all you guy blog readers)...well ,to me, once a month my sweet and gentle hubby gets me my fav knitting magazine "Lets Knit"...this is the day that I`m away with the knitting fairies for the evening :) A cuppa is made and I "oh" and "ah" my way through the magazine , over and over again...its a real "pick me up", often I have said to Seany , you know you can stop getting me this (I could sell knitting patterns) , its about €6 , and well , being a mammy I feel "guilty" , but NO Sean is stern about it , says its the one thing I allow to be bought for myself and I enjoy it (can`t deny that)...anyway , this month its full of "flower power " patterns, just right up my street...also , gosh, memories of NYC , what did I find in Aldi when we were shopping ??? Only a herseys chocolate bar...I havent touched it yet , Sean says I`m def losin it, sitting with a stupid grin on me face smiling at a bar of chocolate ! But , memories of friends and they showing me the sites of NYC after 2 weeks of hard (but fun) work , tasting the American foods...I can almost smell and feel the streets and hear the wonderful NYC twang...now, on the other hand, today we went slightly bonkers and took the kids (MAJOR treat) to the new Mcdonalds here in Maynooth...can I just say this...NEVER AGAIN !!!!! OMG, the food, salt in a bag , the kids were doing their heads, hello people , take responsibility for your kids...they were ruining everyones meals !!!! Our kids (No, they are NOT perfect) just sat open-mouthed looking at the kids shouting , being rude to staff...you name it ! Aideen was excited as normally a trip to a place like this only takes place twice a year in Dublin, but she was SO astounded by the noise , etc she sat at the table (thanks to the 2 nice ladies who let us share their table by the way), and she kept saying "Mom , I know its the public school holidays, but do the parents not see what their kids are at " ???? This is coming from an 11 year old ! Daisy only ate the raisins (the healthy bit) and some of the juice from her kids meal...poor Sean had to eat all our left-overs...But thats my man , the bin :) as you can see from the pic he had nno trouble with all the salt :) but then again, he has eaten octupus and such like...so sorry Mcdonalds, we wont be seeing ya again ! Oh sorry folks for moaning on , but it really got to me, I couldnt get over the fact that not only were your chips salted whether you wanted it or not ,but the kids meal chips were salted too...now, on a positive note we meet a lovley photographer from VENTURE photography and we are only going for an hours photography shoot in while we are in Skerries next month !!!! We`ve to bring in something we like so Sean said hes bringing in his fishing rod, I will bring my knitting and a cup of tea and Aideen and Daisy are bringing in one of their music cds that they like dancing to together...we`ll have seperate pics taken ,and then a family portrait , we are all looking forward to it as you can just "be yourself" its not a sit and smile portrait , so with Sean and his rod, me knitting and the girls dancing should make for a fun family pic :)
