old wood new shelves !

Well, he did it ! Despite the rain showers and a hundred other little interuptions, like going for walks...Sean made yet another recycled wood project , shelves for Daisys books and toys that had been littering the sitting room...and she loves it ! At only 2 , she helps put away her "stuft" every evening...his new project is already underway, a foot stool for me so I can knit in comfort :0)
And talking about home-made, what do you think of the PERFECT gift that Nora, Sadhbh and Caoimhe made me ? Its a wonderful collage that says "A home if for free expression not first impression"...we all love it...and I`m getting it framed to hang in our hallway, it totally suits our house ! Thanks again girls !
New muffin recipie...sweet potatoe and apple...OMG it is delicious !!! A dozen muffins -GONE ! And isnt the sun we`ve been having amazing ??? I will admit I am out in the garden/yard soaking up every spare ray and every beautiful flower and leaf...nature is just amazing ! I actually lay on my back to take some photos of the sun/clouds...and before I knew it nearly and hour had passed...felt like a kid again watching for shapes in the clouds...

Our carpentering man !

Shauna, rest her , used to always tell people that "my daddy is a carpentering man , you know likes Jesus`daddy" !!!! She was SO proud of the fact her dad could turn an ordinary piece of wood into something fantastic ! and today Sean got out to the yard to turn some old wood from an old bed-stead and an old desk he got in a skip into some bookshelves for the sitting room for the girls...he was flying until just before dinner he got rained off, never mind it`ll get finished tomorrow ! Also I picked the very last of my red-currents today , I cant believe we got so many berries from just one tree ! It just goes to show you really dont need an awful lot of space to grow your own...the two girls had a "jammin" session this morning on the keyboard before breakfast...noisy but fun ! And to finish this post off a photo of Sean and myself that Nora took...theres something about this photo I really like...Hope you all had a lovley August bank holiday, however you spent it !

Daisy`s all time fav "hobby" is saying "bye-bye" at the door to visitors at our cottage...the whole street can probably hear her as she shouts "bye-bye" and blows kisses...as you can see however , some people she just doesnt want to say goodbuy too !!! After this shot was taken she happily climbed into Nora`s car and started waving "bye-bye" to us ....makes ya feel good huh ??

at Ellas today and Daisy missed her big sis SO much ! She ran herself ragged...fell asleep on the couch while eating a roll :0) A candle lit tonight for Elaine and Pat and the kids, glad to be together again after Elaines recent stay in hospital (love to you all)...and some images from my little "office" where I am busy working, putting together craft/therapy projects for a friend to use...the broken doll made into a "new" doll is my fav at the moment ! Such happy work , playing...suits me to a tea !

I`m FREE

I HAD to choose "I`m Free" ! as my post title...just LOOK at the fun on Daisy`s face in the photo as Sean swings her upside-down in the garden today !!!! And oh what excitement , Maeve and Ella called , there were tears shed, as Aideen and Ella havent seen each other in over two weeks (the Ffrench family have been in Lucca, Italy)...Daisy ran around shouting "Ella, Ella"...and Aideen told Ella all about her new HS friends Sadhbh and Caoimhe who we are dying to get together , these 4 girls really will get on great they are SO alike....also some of the last of the summer flowers left in the garden...the time has really flown has`nt it ? Lunasasgh will soon be upon us ! Also pictured , Aideens latest "fashion" buy, a pair of funky red shoes a bargain at €3 in Dunnes, well spotted Aideen ! I HAVE missed blogging these past few days, but apart from all the work , we also had a spot of bother as I had another bad seizure last week and (dont laugh, ok do it IS funny) I feel INTO the dishwasher while having a seizure...only me I KNOW :0) I am black and blue all over , but the dishwasher came off the worst :0)

Today also was a day of thinking for us all ,as Sean has had his vasetomy (Yesterday) so it IS kinda sad knowing we can`t have any more children...BUT I do believe we will adopt or foster at some stage , I just cant imagine our home without babies ....

as you can tell my Daisy is NOT camera shy unlike her Mom...she lay herself back on Noras bed and said "cheese" as soon as she spotted the camera !!!!

A day at the spa

Okay well not a spa in the strictest sense, but as good as :0) Nora fed me )I am now full for a week) then Sadhbh, Caoimhe and Nora got out the make up...heres the results, even my poor Daisy did`nt know who I was !!!!! Also pics of Daisy with her "boy" Kieran, and some bits n bobs I COULDnt resist taking pics of in Noras house...fabulous, fabulous day...thanks SO much you guys !!!!
