Sleep well Cuddles

Poor Aideen ,this morning when she went to feed her hamster "cuddles" she found he had gone to that great hamster cage in the sky !

There were many tears...Aideen has SUCH a way with animals they literally become her friends, its like she can communicate with them...we`ve seen feirce dogs lie down at her feet , people are constantly amazed by her ! She sees it as completley normal...

Anyway a "funeral" was put together and now cuddles sleeps under the cherry tree...it was SO sweet , even our dear friend Fr.Paul said a "prayer" for cuddles via the phone...Aideen was SO comforted by that (thanks Paul) !

WIP (work in progress)

Annah brought some fab strips of fleece with her for Bealtaine and said she would save me them in future...I admit, I`m a womble :)

Here is the mat I`m working on for beside Aideens bed, at present its about the size of a sideplate...I have to wait for Annah to save some more fleece ends...beats dumping them and the kids will have unique bedside mats :)

Organic Market ,Maynooth

Saturday we all went to the local organic market in the ICA hall...its a feast for the senses ! We met some fabulous people , and Daisy got a "nana" (thats a banana) for looking cute ! When I came home I emptied the goodies out honestly ,today, bar the raisins for my scones ,everything is GONE !!!! The pleasure we all got from cooking and eating the fresh (and cheap) food was, well glorious...roll on next Saturday morning :)

Sunrise in Wicklow

Sean and Michael went fishing at all hours this morning , and they caught this glorious sunrise...who says there is`nt a God ?

The Bealtaine fire

The kids loved roasting marshallows at the fire...Aubrey literally set his on fire and then would blow them out and eat them black proclaiming they were "delicious" !!!

Last night we all had such fun around the Bealtaine fire...Aideen and myself had been collecting fallen sticks all week and Sean had dug a hole in the garden and placed stones around it...it was a real centre-piece to the party and it felt so great to be gathered around it with all the friends we love...

Spirit of Bealtaine

Dance, dance wherever you may be...

Bealtaine

What a party ! I would say a great success...the kids, young and old LOVED the maypole, and the campfire...and us adults got into the swing of it too...life is too short to just wait for birthdays to have get-togethers with loved ones...tonight lots of memories were made...
We ate, we drank , we laughed , we danced and felt alive...
